The brief for this project was to form an internal multi-use space within the courtyard of the Edwardian Science Block. We negotiated the works and between ourselves and the design team created a scheme to enclose the courtyard using a glass atrium and full-height glass wall with central double doors. The original features of the courtyard were sympathetically cleaned and repaired. This maintained the feel of an external space which now can be used throughout the year. The lighting was designed to highlight some of these features and at night the space really comes alive.
