The project was a new-build hall adjoining the church. The hall was in flintwork to match the existing church, with stone surrounds to the doors and windows. The walls were built in blockwork to the internal face and the external facade covered in knapped flint laid in a lime mortar. Within the hall exposed Glulam beams helped to create an open and bright space. Where the hall adjoins the church it was necessary to carefully needle and prop the gable end wall which had a large large stained glass window in it.
In 2018 the project was recognied by the Ware Society and won the Town Award scheme becuase “the new Hall provides a great community space whilst its design and construction is visually appealing”
