Meesden Hall, Meesdon

With experience of working on renovating similar large, listed properties we successfully tendered this project.

Before work could commence on the renovations, significant structural works were required to stabilise and secure the house. A comprehensive piled foundation system with cantilevered ground beams was installed around the property to support the external structure. This innovative solution removed the need for costly underpinning.

Once this phase was complete, we began the extensions and renovations to the main house. A key addition was the new east wing, creating a large breakfast room. Constructed in natural stone and featuring a central rooflight.  This extension compliments and contrasts the original building.

Internally, the house underwent a complete transformation. New mechanical and electrical installations were fitted throughout, bringing the house up to modern standards. A newly installed kitchen, alongside refurbished living areas and bathrooms, has created a large comfortable family home.

Externally, the addition of a large terrace complete with stone steps and retaining walls leads down to a lower terrace. This gives an elegant and practical outdoor space that enhances the overall setting of the property.
