This was a large new build property in north west London. Together with the architect and client we negotiated the works to the specific requirements of both. The works required the demolition of the existing house, the formation of a 100m2 basement on piled foundations incorporating a plant room and bedrooms. The main space was an open plan kitchen and living space with the central stair atrium to the full height of the property. With such open construction in the property the structural design was key. Internal structural Stepoc walls and insitu cast concrete ring beams allowed these large open spaces.
